When all comparisons happen in your head, every option feels risky and every path feels regrettable. That's because you only have imagination, not data. Ikigai helps split the fog: are you unsure about interest, capability, market need, or sustainable income? Once vague anxiety becomes explicit unknowns, direction becomes easier to work with.

Three low-risk experiments: test before deciding

You don't need a dramatic leap. Start with three experiments: 1) Interest test: spend fixed time for two weeks on a related micro-project and observe whether you can sustain motivation. 2) Capability test: show your output to three target users and collect concrete feedback on value. 3) Demand test: try a paid trial, consultation, or pre-order and see whether people commit real cost. Each experiment should have a clear time box and success criteria.

Replace rumination with evidence: weekly ikigai review

Reserve 30 minutes weekly and review: What task absorbed me most? Which strengths did I use? Who benefited from my output? Did I see any revenue or demand signal? Capture the answers in your ikigai canvas. Self-doubt may not disappear, but it gets shorter and lighter when your choices are based on accumulating evidence rather than endless speculation.
